The Redwall® 100Q is a robust external long range passive infrared detector designed to operate at ranges of up to 100 metres. As a single-ended device it does not require a transmitter to be mounted at the far end of the protected area reducing both
installation time and cost.

The Redwall® 100Q is the first long range external detector to incorporate quad element technology and represents a major step forward in the design of this type of sensor. Ideal for use as a motion detector for CCTV equipment, the Redwall® 100Q can be used to activate phone line video transmission equipment,
recording devices or alert an operator’s attention to movement in a specific area.

OPERATION

Detection is achieved by monitoring changes of far infrared levels between an intruder and the background in the detector’s twenty fields of view. The sensor’s twin electronic processors use dual edge sensing techniques to achieve detection and, when combined with the four-in-line quad element sensor, provides exceptional operational stability.
