No unsightly cables!
Our residential system is based upon the Galaxy Domonial Wirefree series. All devices are wireless, meaning that there will be no risk of unsightly cables and making a truly neat installation with no detrimental risk to your décor guaranteed.
Rapid, low-cost installation!
Because our systems are quick and easy to install (a typical residential system will be done in half a day) they include low-cost installation and virtually no disruption to the household.
Traditional hard-wired systems, by comparison, often take days to install if care is to be taken to conceal everything.
Four year battery life!
The typical battery life of each wirefree component is four years. We take care of replacement for you when due as part of regular maintenance service. And if, for some reason, a battery drops to low power ahead of time, the system’s self diagnosis reports it so that the device can be updated early, without compromise to system performance.
The System:
- A Galaxy Domonial 20-zone control panel, connected to a permanent mains supply and to a telephone line
- One Security Communicator (type dependent upon the Security Grade required)
- One or more Wirefree Domonial keypad
- One or more Wirefree Internal Sounder
- As many Wirefree Contact sensors (for doors & windows) as are required
- As many Wirefree PIR motion sensors as are required
- As many Wirefree Smoke detectors as are required
- As many Wirefree Panic buttons as are required
- A voice module, for two-way speech or audio confirmation to our Monitoring Centre (or your alternative nominated destination)
- One Wirefree external Sounder
Monitoring Centre service
Any activation of your system reports to our Alarm Receiving Centre, from where we assess the event then automatically instigate a response action. We may:
- Listen into the premises to evaluate the cause & validity of the alarm*; or
- Hold two-way conversation with the occupants to ascertain the situation; or
- Telephone the premises to filter a potential false alarm through error; or
- Summons the police to attend immediately to a sequentially confirmed intrusion.
*The voice communicator automatically dials us to open the voice link after an alarm activation
When would we call the police to an alarm signal?
In accordance with ACPO: 2006 police policy, each system incorporates intelligent signalling such that the first detector to activate would signal to us as an ‘unconfirmed alarm’. This would never be reported to the police, but to a key holder only.
The moment a second independent signal is generated a ‘confirmed alarm’ situation is signalled. This is the point when the police can be called upon to attend.
How secure is the Comms link to your Monitoring Centre?
This touches on a particularly important area. It can be extremely secure, dependent upon how high an importance you place on it. For the residential sector, for example, we offer the BT redcare home monitoring service. This incorporates landline signalling with GSM back-up to provide a low-cost but secure dual signalling path. And, if one path fails, the other reports it to us almost immediately. Further, the GSM path is polled by redcare to confirm its ongoing integrity. A very cost-effective solution for those wanting a higher level of security.
What if a key holder changes?
Each customer is registered with us and has a capability to access our secure website, where they have unique access to their system for maintenance purposes. So if a key holder changes, be that permanently or temporarily, simply log on, enter your password, then update the information. Alternatively call us and we will do it for you.
